The Fruits and Veggies You Should Eat

I received an email during the week that claims to have been circling the internet since 1998. Normally I wouldn’t even glance at stuff of this nature but considering who forwarded the e-mail to me, I heeded his advice. And was it ever perfect. Here’s the e-mail:

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye. And yes, science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes!
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Eggplant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm cells to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries.
Grapefruits, Oranges, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like body cells. Today’s research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.

5 Alive

Given the spirit of the above article I will write about the benefits of five additional superfruits. I won’t be highlighting any of the boring stuff (rich in vitamins, lowers LDL) since I know we’re all health conscious here. Instead I’ll point out the stuff that is of more interest. Without further ado:

1. Pomegranate
A superfruit that I look to disgest everyday, pomegranates contain higher levels of antioxidants than the popular blueberries. It is believed to fight brain and lung cancers as well as prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s. Also, for the men who suffer from it, this superfruit combats erectile dysfunction. Something that may interest our ladyfriends, pomegrate is also said to made skin clear and glowing.
2. Kiwi
These superfruits are jampacked with so much vitamin C that they are substantially richer in it than oranges. With more fiber than apples, kiwi’s make a gentle and effective laxative. Research has shown that the fruit is a natural blood thinner, akin to Aspirin, that can naturally prevent blood clots and lower the fat content in the blood to prevent blockages.
3. Mangosteen
You may have never heard of this superfruit, but if you’re lucky to come across one here are some of its benefits. Mangosteen has use in medicine as it is believed to not only reduce inflammation and pain but also fight bacterial infections. For those suffering from it, mangosteen is believed to reduce the fromation of cataracts and if you’re looking for the fountain of youth this superfruit has some convinced that is can slow the aging process.
4. Noni
Another seldom heard superfruit. Noni is viewed as one of the most nutritious fruits having nutrients that are known to stimulate the immune system. Much like the kiwi, the juice of the noni has traditionally been used as a laxative. Also, noni has been found to be effective in relieving pain without the side affects of over-the-counter perscriptions. Finally, this superfruit is believed to be effective against bacterial and fungal infections due to its antifungal and antiparasitic properties.
5. Acai
Finally my personal favourite. The best positive side effect of consuming the acai berry is having more energy to exercise (terrible, I know). Also, this superfruit also provides the benefits of red wine (rich in anthocyanins) and olive oil (beneficial fatty acids) in one delicious gulp.
